Frequently asked questions

What you ask us most. If you can't find what you're looking for, write to hola@sufikafe.com.

Shipping and delivery

Do you ship across Spain?

Yes. We ship all over Spain (mainland, Balearic and Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla) with Correos Express and SEUR, and to the European Union. We roast every Monday and Thursday, your order leaves the roastery within 24-48 h and it's usually with you 1-2 working days later. We also ship to the 26 countries of the European Union.

How much is shipping?

Standard shipping to mainland Spain is €4.90, free on orders over €40. Other EU countries have their own rates and free-shipping thresholds.

Can I pick up my order?

Yes. At checkout you can choose Pickup and collect it free of charge at the roastery: Carrer Tramuntana, 8 — 43460 Alcover (Tarragona). Email hola@sufikafe.com first so we can agree on a time.

When is the coffee roasted?

We roast every Monday and Thursday, in small batches, at our roastery in Alcover, in the Camp de Tarragona. Every bag carries its roast date. It's best enjoyed between 10 and 30 days after roasting.

Do you sell ground coffee?

No. Whole bean only. We work with specialty coffees that lose complexity very quickly once ground. If you're just starting out and don't have a grinder, write to us and we'll help you choose one that's worth it.

Which brew method do you recommend?

It depends on the range. The espresso is roasted for the machine; the filter coffees call for V60, Chemex or Aeropress; and the omniroasts handle both worlds well. For filter we recommend a V60 at a 1:16.7 ratio (15 g of coffee / 250 g of water at 92-94 °C). Here's the step-by-step recipe.

Where does your coffee come from?

We work with selected micro-lots from named producers:

  • Carlos Pola — Pola's Coffee (Finca Las Brisas, Juayúa, El Salvador)
  • Marlon Rojas Pérez (Finca La Reserva, Pitalito, Huila, Colombia)
  • Cóndor Project — 96 women coffee farmers in southern Huila (Colombia)

Payment

Which payment methods do you accept?

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay and PayPal. Checkout is secure and processed by Shopify.

Is it safe to pay on your website?

Yes. Checkout is processed by Shopify with SSL encryption. We never see or store your card details.

Returns and problems

My order arrived damaged or with a problem

Let us know at hola@sufikafe.com with your order number and a photo of the problem. We'll sort it out as soon as possible.

Do you accept returns?

You have 14 days to return an unopened order, with return shipping at your cost. Opened bags can't be returned, given the nature of the product. And there's a freshness guarantee: if your coffee reaches you more than two weeks after roasting, we replace it free of charge. You can read it all in our refund policy.

The roastery, courses and hospitality

Do you have a café open to the public?

Not any more. The Ciano Coffee cafés in Salou and Cambrils, which were ours, closed in July 2026. Everything now comes out of the Alcover roastery: the online shop, the courses and the cuppings. Here's where to find our coffee.

Do you run cuppings and courses?

Yes, at the Alcover roastery and in groups of eight at most. We run the Barista Basics course, to start from scratch, and the Latte Art course, so the milk does what you want. We set the dates with you when you book. See them here.

Do you sell coffee to hospitality?

Yes. We supply specialty coffee and equipment to other venues. Write to hola@sufikafe.com with your estimated volume and we'll put together a proposal.
